- Kaolin: Found at Kankara, Ingawa, Dutsinma, Safana, Batsari, Bakori, Musawa and Faskari. Kankara deposit alone is estimated at about 3,400,000 tonnes of high grade kaolin. It provides opportunities in Paints manufacturing, Ceramic production, Pharmaceuticals, Rubber and Chalk production industries;
- Silica Sand: Available in large commercial deposit at Zango and Baure Local Government Areas. Silica sand is for the manufacture of Foundry, Ceramic and Glass wares;
- Feldspar: Found in commercial deposit with high percentage silica content (56% average) at Batagarawa, Safana, Faskari, Batsari, Kafur, and Dutsinma local government areas. Used in glass, ceramic, paint, terrazzo and tiles manufacturing industries;
- Asbestos: Large deposit estimated at about 31,000,000 tonnes reserved, containing very good fibre at Shawe Village of Faskari Local government area. Asbestos is used manufacturing roofing sheets, ceiling insulators, heat, fire and acid resistant gaskets;
- Gold: Available within the schist belt in the western part of the state. Though both quantity and quality are yet to be fully ascertain, preliminary report proved it to be in commercial quantities. Gold is used for Jewelry and ornamental industries;
- Marble: Very large deposits have been discovered in Malumfashi, and Jibia local government areas. Extensively used for structural and decorative purposes;
- Quartz: Available in appreciable quantity at Bakori, Batsari, Ingawa, kurfi, Faskari, Dandume, Funtua, Daura, and Kankara local government areas. Electric insulators, diodes, IC’s electric bulb, optical fiber, glass bricks, various kind of glass manufacture and gemstone cutting and polishing industries;
- Talc: Good quantities have been identified in Katsina and Ingawa Local Government Areas. Talc is widely used in Paint, toiletries, pharmaceuticals and fertilizer industries;
- Precious Stones: Precious Stones such as Tourmaline and Spheras, etc. are mined by artisanal miners in Jibia, Batsari. Faskari and many locations in the state; and
- Granite: Found in all Local Governments except in Daura and Zango and can be used to set up granite cutting and polishing industry.
